BDSwiss Sponsors APOEL Cycling Club for 4th Consecutive Year

BDSwiss proudly renewed, for the fourth consecutive year, its sponsorship of APOEL Cycling Club, a Cypriot professional cycling team based in Nicosia, Cyprus.

Founded in 1970, the APOEL cycling team has participated in domestic games until 1979 when they first took part in an international competition in Israel. More recently, on October 6th, 2021, the team traveled to UCI Gran Fondo World Championships in Pale, Bosnia. The team’s head, Michalis Poumbouris, finished 17th in his age category (40-45), while another team member, Konstantinos Antoniou came 10th in his age category (35-40).

Earlier this October, the team participated in the ‘Gran Fondo Apollo Aphrodite’ race which was a two-day event held in Cyprus. The race was a success for the Apoel Cycling Club – athlete Costas Psissis came 1st in his category.

In September, the team celebrated two 1st places in the Cypriot Mountain Bike Race, which took place in Lythrodondas village. The race was dedicated to the memory of the late Father Modestos, who was the community priest of the Lythrodontas. The race was organized by the cycling club of I.M.Tamassos “Agios Manasos” in cooperation with the Lythrodontas community council.

The sponsorship renewal reflects BDSwiss’ continuous commitment to supporting the local sporting community, as well as its dedication to promoting an active and healthy way of life.
